Step mom!

 

I love my mom very much! Now I am 5 years old. I have realized my mom is the best mom in the world. She recites me lullaby every night to put me sleep well. She makes sure all the way not to disturb me in the night, not to disturb my sleep. She goes to bed late night after finishing all works. She gets up early. Prepares breakfast for me. She wakes me up gently and takes me out of bed with a tight hug. I also pretend drowsy to get the tight hug for sometime more. She knows it well. But never asks me back. 

One day I came home with pale face. Before asking me anything, she broke down severely. She can not see me upset even for a bit. She makes her all efforts to keep me happy. She forgets all her comforts and happiness to keep me happy. Before I ask her for food she serves me that to delicious one. She is well aware of each and every movements of mine. I can not claim that I also know her to that extent she understands me. Many at times I feel as if she is in me. Else, how come she is so sure about my each and every choice, want, when to sleep, when eat, when to get up and so on. In her eyes I have seen the tears of my pain. But she never expresses it openly. She never tries to tell me that she loves me much. It is not required at all. All her actions speak how much she loves me. 

Now I am 15 years old. Today my neighbor appreciated my mom by saying "despite being the step mom, your mom does everything as if she is your real mom". I did not feel bad. I know it is her unawareness. Yet, I tried my level best to put up my side - Mom will always remain mom. The word "step" is technical. It is nothing to do with love and affection. By emphasizing upon stepmother, we are denigrating all mothers. We are living in a society. We are bound by law. Hence, there are some legal matters we have to abide by. But it does not mean that legality can prevail upon love. We can not love someone under compulsion. Finally my mom's education prevailed. No sooner my neighbor understood the power of love. Though she did not feel guilty of her words. She tapped on my back and got inside her home with thumps up gesture. My mom was observing all these. I presume she was not aware of our talks. She asked about our long discussion. I diverted the matter asking about her health as she was feeling feverish last night. God! I am very proud of my mom. Let all children be proud of their moms. Bless me god to be child of my mom in every life.
