Why is there an exception to every rule?
Necessity knows no law. So are the rules.
In India the rule is to drive on the left hand side of the road. But when it is an emergency, generally in the case of ambulance, it is allowed to drive even on the right hand side of the road when life saving is inevitable without ignoring the rule. Rules are made for the benefits of people and society at large. It is prudent to mention here that no rule is made just because a thought struck into the someone's mind. It is experienced with thousands of samples and then it is brought into force. Whether the rule is some govt policy, spiritual or religious. The method of applicability is same.
For example, wearing helmet is mandatory while driving a bike. Three people are not allowed on one bike. But if it is for life saving of someone who is met with an accident and immediate ambulance or other vehicle help is not feasible. It is inevitable to rescue to patient on a bike keeping him in middle and supported by a third person at the back for life saving. Now the injured person can not wear the helmet due to brain haemorrhage
Recently we have seen post pandemic situation increasing the entry age of defence service candidate though it was one time issue. Rules are made to provide best guidance. However, it can be manipulated or changed though on exceptional basis. If the rule was not changed, it would have been proved to be detrimental for that situation.
In our day to day life also we used to follow many universal rules because it has been being followed by many without causing any harm to anyone. Hence, it has been being followed for so many years. But a moment must have come in our life where the rule would have been ignored. And that is exception. If we go to the route cause of that exception, we will come to know the reason for which it has been either ignore or modified.
The pandemic period has taught the whole world the meaning of rule and the need to ignore or manipulate it. The rule is when it concerns Hindus, various rites have to be observed after someone's death. But the most unfortunate happened to that family where the whole family was went on quarantine after death of some of the family member. So, no death rites could be followed. Almost all religious places and religious events were closed and abandoned respectively which had never happened in the past.
There are en-numbers of reasons why rules must be modified. But there must be adequate justification to substantiate it.
